My name is Stephanie and I am a 26-year-old visual journalist residing in Washington, D.C. I turn stories and complex topics into something that readers can understand and interact with. Page design and graphics reporting challenge me and constantly change my perspective. My interest in interaction and social media design is fueled by my desire to solve problems.
I am currently a designer with the Washington Business Journal – part of American City Business Journals. Previously, I was the design editor at the Baltimore Business Journal, an editorial design co-op for The Boston Globe and a news artist intern at The Seattle Times. My formative years were spent at Ball State University, where the Unified Media Lab was a second home.
I am an active member and volunteer of the Society for News Design. What keeps me involved with SND is the organization’s focus on community, and how much I learn from other members.
You can reach me through my email (below), or click on any of the social media icons at the bottom of the page. Let's talk about design, the journalism industry and, most importantly, the struggle of imposter syndrome.
